Instead of one women day, can a month be devoted to History of Sinahalese, Tamil and Muslim Women in Sri Lanka in the various spheres of life dating back to earliest recorded events. The achievement of women should figure prominently as their abuse by individuals and community. Such a Women History Month can culminate on the Women’s Day. It naturally need to be planned by a Multi-Ethinic Women group.
