Ivan also has lost the way as much as present regime has lost its way with promised good governance concept prior to the last presidential election . Because mr. Ivan cannot stand away from the general blame of public for the shambolic system , as he too shared the path with others of bringing in the present government . It caught my eye at one of your rational point in the article where you have sincerely emphasised about the honest and clean efforts are made by prime minister Ranil wickramasingha to reinstate back the clean and steady developments in the country as well as achieving the dream of economy and free of corruptions .
But you have wittingly or unwittingly ignored the mass robberies that has occurred within the good governance policies . Which is commonly known to all of us today . Therefore , It is dreadful to proceed any more discarding the central bank robbery ,under valued 800 luxury cars , coal fraud , and tapping rivals phones , particularly over some judges . These are only very few among colossal errors made in . These incidents were shocking to the hopeful normal citizens in the country , as whom were the people who desperately hoped for the free of corruption under new regime. So, I see in your effort it tries to normalise with long spelling story instead speaking to people with your general norm .
I would request you to watch Pathikada program on the 11th of octomber 2016 between Bandula jayasekara and Faraz Shauketaly where you will find the right picture about the central bank robbery under so called mr. Clean and present regime .
I hope you have more than necessary knowledge of how the past politicians have had behaved and what woes brought by them at the end and yet , in reading your article which clearly indicates your failure to endorse or stimulate the right and appropriate political movement and needs in the country to establish right political line since 1971 . I believe it is a shame of you and others whom writes for betterment of the country last 6 decades and still wrongly attributing to hold the wrong side of the politics

intellectuals debate with wisdom and the idiots only argue”.

It was also
evident this week, in the US Presidential election debate between
Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Also, both Clinton and Trump, faced the truth and admitted their past
wrongs; a feature absent in media and political leaders in SL.

On Sunday, Ranil Wickremasinghe, the PM, said that Buddhism will be
given a “prominent place” in the new constitution of SL. And President
Sirisena, lied to the UN General Assembly few days ago, that SL is a
“Buddhist country”, though there are Hindus, Christians, Muslims and
atheists in SL.

It is the people of any country who follow a religion. A country is
inanimate and has no life to follow any religion.

The events initiated since 1958, by the so called “Buddhist prominence”
in SL, caused hatred, violence, murder and genocide of Tamils and not
peace, stability and progress.

Such events did the following harm and danger to the people;

1. Real Buddhist principles, practiced prior to 1958 have evaporated
into thin air.

2. Such a down fall of real Buddhism, created a vacuum in Buddhism.
Idols of Buddha, against the teaching of Buddha, were erected. Violence
and murder against Tamils, instead of peace and love preached by Buddha,
came into Buddhism in SL.

3. Now, it is not Mahayana Buddhism that is practiced but a type of
atheism with hatred, racism and violence, with no power to prevent a
“Buddhist” from doing wrong or evil.

Therefore, GSL should take corrective steps to reverse the trend of the
growing of dangerous and harmful Buddhism, by doing the following;

a) Enforce a code of conduct for all the Buddhist monks in SL.

b) As practiced prior to 1956, ban monks from politics.

c) Confine Buddhist religious functions to those permitted before 1956.

d) Punish monks and de-robe those who preach hatred instead of love.

Now is the time, for the intellectuals to debate and lead the country.
