The said pogrom was a violation of human rights and the latest threat is hate speech. These must be taken up at the highest level. UN Human Rights Council must be written to and international community
lobbied. But unfortunately Muslim leaders, MPs, Ministers and Imams will not. They rate such actions as confrontational and will throw principles out the window. The most they will do is to get someone to write an article.

Lankan Muslims are notorious for being selfish and will only talk about the injustices inflicted on Lankan Muslims. In the first paragraph, referring to the 14 June 2014 Aluthgama riots Hilmy talks about
