Let it be known that the Sinhalese though being the majority, too are immensely suffering from the effects of oppression perpetrated at hands of the State machinery. Unless we launch a united struggle against oppression and exploitation perpetrated by Sri lankan governments fight against state terrorism will be futile. I am very confident that Tamil struggle alone would not liberate the Sri Lanka unless both communities get together against tyranny. It is high time that both communities get together and understand that oppression and exploitation are not being perpetrated by individual Sinhalese or Tamils against each other, but by unscrupulous elements in party politics who want to misuse the resources of the country which belongs to both communities. If you research you will find that common man whether tamil or Sinhala, would have no enmity with each other except for furtherance of corruption. But on the contrary I find that a very high degree of amity and concord otherwise exist, both express and dormant. Why not arouse feelings of amity and re-ignite the culture of sharing and caring as opposed to getting cheated from one regime to another on a competitive basis. Both communities belong to a mutually inclusive culture, Buddhist and Hindu. The required amity naturally exist and therefore we need to eradicate political interference and patronage of ethic hatred.

He was a visionary and a prophet. He was the chaiman of World Federation of Tamils then located in London.

The UN accepts and grants self determination for nations or peoples who have the following;

1. A territory or homeland of their own.
2. A common language
3. A culture of their own
4. Want self determination.

Indigenous Tamils of NE, expressed by a “ÿes” vote, in 1977, desiring self determination and so satisfy the conditions laid down by the UN.

Therefore, even after 100 years they will be entitled to self determination.

I admire the vision of Prof Eliezer.
