To me, SL has been a country that has been tumultuous during her entire history.
You take peak into the history, see the invasions that had taken place from time to time, then the foreign invasions & occupation.
We sri Lankans N our Society are torn between our Culture and the of the West.
Then we had interfere & forcible influence of Chriatianity trusted upon us over Buddhism & Hindunism
Then a Westminister style of Governance.
Then there is a hidden agenda on Sri Lanka by the toothless super powers as a result to which side backboneless India tilt Sri Lanka get cushed by India through their alignment.
We need to find a path acceptable to move on. We can not tilt to any side.
Who can bring in that balance & the blend sans undue influence from the outside to steer SL?
Put the past in the back burner, could it be a RW/MR Government?
RW is a spent force before the eyes of the masses but can bring in the external blend. Then the Rajapakshes may be villains but for internal stability…………….. need to workout a Sri Lanka grown blend.

It is true that if Rajapakse is taken into custody for all his wrong doings. There is going to be trouble in the country. But just because there is going to be trouble it does not permit President Maithripala not to take action and protect Rajapakse. What President Maithripala should do is first to take into custody Weerawansa, Gamanpila, Namal, Basil, Gotha and other SLFP MPs’ who have stolen money. Then go for Mahinda. President Sirisena promised the voters that he will do it and its time President Sirisena took concrete steps without doing deals with Rajapakses.
