He created and administered the open prison. He was particularly antagonistic towards Uthayan newspaper. The newspaper has been attacked several times, a number of its staff have been murdered by paramilitary groups and other forces, and it regularly receives threats. Chandrasiri sagaciously dismissed all the attacks as “internal jobs”. The Maithripala Sirisena led government does not have the will to investigate the where about of Subramaniyam Ramachandran.

………..there has been no progress in relation to even one incident. …..”

The President and the Prime Minister are falling over each other in declaring in public how they are ”protecting former President Mahinda Rajapakse” from UNHRC.
They would only have to press on the investigations to protect the 22 million citizens and all UNHRC resolutions will evaporate.

(Our President and his team of Ministers are visiting Holocaust Museum right now.)

Watchdog, please keep the public informed of all actions and inactions of the government.

Were there Journalists killed in early seventies during the ‘Che-guevera’ uprising?

A must read for anyone interested in the ‘good’ facing the ‘evil’ in Sri Lanka’s peace. The following para says quite a bit:
———————

On the 13th of December 2015, Kamalashini made a detailed oral submission to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry looking into Missing Persons (The Paranagama Commission). She had sited the eye witness’s accounts she had heard. On the 26th of January 2016, the Commission sent a letter to her. The letter stated that the case has been referred for investigation. It further instructed her to contact the Government Office to obtain economic assistances which she is entitled to.
