This PTF had been hampering the UN and other aid agencies from helping the returnees from Menik Farmm camps resettle in the North – 2012, 2013 & 2014 reports by Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre.

The most disturbing one in Kilinochchi on A9 at the junction leading to the bus stand is the bullet-in-the-wall ”monument”:
a massive concrete cube (representing the Tamil Tigers) pierced and cracked by a big bullet ( representing the Sri Lankan army) and topped with a ”flower of peace”.

Two days agi I travelled through Katunayake airport where I saw two huge collection boxes with see-though glass walls to get left-over Sri Lanka currency from tourists. This is usually done for charities in many airports. Guess the purpose stated in Katunayake collection boxes:
For building houses for Sri Lanka Armed Forces!
I couldn’t believe my eyes and went back after walking away about 100yds to check if what I read was correct.
I saw two boxes on my way to Gate No6. There are a lot more gates at this airport.
