Nigel Nugewela, you write as if though you have fallen from the skies. Tell me anyone whether be it major or minor who does make mistakes.
Did Sirisena cadidacy infact lead to the January’s electoral volte-face ? I categorically say NO.
The electoral volte-face took place due to a East / West conflict for supremacy that took place on our soil.
Leave aside everything else, what Rajapakshe did which no other leader achieved or struggling to achieve.
Now we have Tony (B)lair on our soil. I certainly hope a politically correct person like you must be frantically agitating against his visit by calling him and his lackeys liars and a murderers
There is no power hunger here.
There are two plans. One is Rajapakshe & China.
The other being Ranil and the West………………..
Therefore do not speak of being hungry for power and was Blair forgiven ???.

A very well written essay of timely observations that must give impetus to every right thinking citizen in our country, Nigel.It has all the ingredients that have to be assimilated and disseminated into the various categories of our anxious but totally committed to change mood society on the one hand and a smaller group of those selfish diehard MR bandyism rather sheepish shrewd Political gang that wants to rule purely as a protection for their personal goals.The adage by MR start afresh fits the good governance principle and policies of Pres.Sirisena and PM Ranil. YES LET START AFRESH THE REVOLUTION THAT CAME IN TO BEIENG ON JAN.8th.3015.AND EQUALLY WELL START AFRESH ALL THAT HAS TO BE DONE AFTER 17th.AUG.TO ESTABLISH RULE.LET OF LAW PERMANENTE AND BRING TO BOOK THE CULPRITS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH ASTROCIOUS MISDEEDS IN THE COUNTRY BY THE PREVIIOUS REGIME.
