In short:

“We ask that you extend compassion and understanding towards all those who suffered, especially those who are outside your own community.

Even as we stand with the survivors of this violence, we must speak out against those who would use their suffering to cause further division and discord between the communities of Batticaloa.”

Recently I started reading the well-researched new book on “Disappearances” that, I think is a MUST have in your local library for Peace studies, Journalism, Conflict resolution etc.
