In addition to Sir Desmond de Silva, QC who is of Sri Lankan origin living and practising law in the UK, there were two other experts from the UK and one other from the USA who were also appointed as advisers to the Commission. Is it the fact that Sir Desmond de Silva is of Sri Lankan origin that the petitioners object to his role as an adviser?
