Regardless of political affiliations of the writer, he has a right to express his opinion. This is why Metteya’s comment is published here, thanks to a gentleman. We don’t any of that quality in ANY of the MR supporting web sites. These sites follow MR’s way of conduct- supress and rule, work completely against Buddhist principles.
If voters mad an error, surely they will correct it. But voters means 12 million people, any sensible educated person will agree 12 million people will not listen to propaganda and vote. Recently they was a poll asking the question whether politician thieves should be considered innocent until proven by law. Results were a 70% NO. Politician thieves are seen everyday by people, the way they travel, the way their supporters behave, the way their girth has grown, the way their wives behave after coming to power and many more other ways – there no proof necessary. PEOPLE CANNOT BE WRONG.
We can’t live in Sir Lanka like South Korea by antagonising the west. Standing firm after establishing honest , free, good governance is easy. The west respected Lee Kuan Yew when he was less than 40 years old too. He used carefully selected words to criticize Vietnam war. He caned an American citizen for vandalism. Problem is not that you agree with everything to USA.LKY openly said he is not grabbing western values but Buddhist , Confucius values. The way forward is you yourself being honest and upright first. This what is real Buddhism by actual Buddhist about.
Rajapkse again will completely eradicated Buddhism from Sri Lanka. He will do this by directly attacking Buddhism being dishonest, inflicting terror , letting western values overrule Buddhist values, becoming rich by allowing drug trade, promoting casino culture and prostitution in the name of tourism, treating women -hit.
Rajapkse has already promised maximum devolution within 1 year by promising to implement LLRC in one year. I am not saying this is bad or good here. It is the same as UNP. He is trying to scare public , cheat public and win votes. Ultimately he will not get votes more than UNP. His crimes will catch up with him. he will rot in hell.

It should be pointed out that Mr. Tissa Jayatilaka is associated with the pro-Western Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA) which prominently features UNP campaign signs as part of its background image on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CPASL?fref=nf).

Much of the ramblings of this UNP operative are wishful thinking rather than based on ground realities. Sirisena represents perhaps 1% of the SLFP, so this talk of a ‘split’ is simply ludicrous. Sirisena is a UNP stooge and puppet with no real executive power. He can’t even get Ranil to fire the Central Bank Governor like he had requested, so talking about Sirisena as though he is relevant shows Tissa’s gullibility.

The bottom line is the January 8th ‘good governance’ voters have done more than scatter, they have left Maithripala and the UNP because they were BETRAYED by the largest bond fraud in the history of the country. They now feel like suckers for voting for Maithripala in January and are looking for some stability in government again because they now know ‘change’ does not add up to good governance, it adds up to bond fraud, FCID politicization of law enforcement, stoppage of infrastructure and economic development, and a pivot to a new alliance with former colonist white countries who only want to exploit Sri Lanka for their own world domination purposes.

August 17th gives these voters a chance to correct their error on January 8th, and once again see the prospect of Sri Lanka becoming the Miracle of Asia, a strong and independent country that will not be re-colonized by Western powers so a handful of Sri Lankans can get rich at everyone else’s expense.
