From the ground facts reported real freedom is yet far away although basic brute force seems to be in retreat. The biggest bugbear of all is the horrendous PTA which has provided cover for all sorts of crimes and for criminals to get away from raw violence. The sooner it is lifted and habeas corpus re-introduced the better for ordinary citizens to walk with their heads held high. Of course, this needs return of independent institutions of accountability and justice systems to return asap. The short lesson is that it is so easy to destroy but so very difficult to re-construct lives for ordinary citizens.But will the politicoes understand this basic premise?
