An insightful article indeed.

1. Have you seen this STOP-TORTURE web site that is well-documented? Also anyone who can read only Tamil or Sinhala it includes Reports in those languages as well.

http://www.stop-torture.com/

2. Is this documented in Wikipedia or any recent books?

All your findings say, you heard from so an so. Who organised or funded your tour? Please find out and let us know how many people came on boat from Puttalam district in Sri Lanka. Also, how many from Negombo. These areas were not affected by the war! Unfortunately, even being a post graduate student, you don’t have a brain to understand the difference between a refugee and an economic migrant. If these are the students who are going to write Ph D thesis, god bless Australia!

have you actually followed up on these peoples’ claims of torture and rape etc.
have you witnessed harassment and other forms of intimidation by yourself or just heresay.
how come then all these asylum seekers who fear to return to sru lanka , once grated permanent stay are very quick to return to the land they fear to come back to.
do you have any insight or answers to these.
i doubt it very much because your visit it appears to be to enhance your position and reputation n the eyes of asylum seekers.

As long as you promote separatism, there won’t be peace and reconciliation in Sr Lanka.

The author also should have spoken to Tamil and Muslim business leaders in Sri Lanka who would share a different story. Minority mentality will always market defeatism to gain advantage. I see the Western authors of such articles to be naive and gullible. People take advantage of your naivity and it is very clear from this article.

Sinhalese are Sinhalese and they will never be trusted that they are going to treat the Tamils equally.
Eelam is the only option that will bring peace, stability and put an end of sufferings to all.
