Frankly the SLG is trying its utmost to derail and delay the process but it is certain that there will not be any new light if the past is any indication of the future. SL is a failed state. Perhaps badly so and that is why there is lot of flying around the world by local leaders to confound and confuse the issues as much as possible. Is it not better to let the UN invstigative process go ahead and see what the Report says and go from there onwards. After all the former President affirmed that there were “zero civilian casualties” despite Ban Ki Moon UNSG saying on 23 June 2009 after overflying the area affected that it was “the worst scene of carnage he had ever seen” and was even garlanded by the marauding soldiers but action on the Report is already 5 years down the road. Is it not past time to share it as promised within the UN and rest of the world?

But how many in the majority community will agree with it is another matter! More importantly, the very biased Lankan media continues to cough out editorials after editorials justifying BLOCKING international involvement in any investigation. No one seem to question why sri lanka should fear a UN investigation if there’s not SO MUCH TO HIDE.
