Or NPC posing with a living creature on two legs?

Leave alone the maceration of the North and the East.
What have the Rajapakses been doing to the rest of the country – destroying it economically, socially and environmentally to fill their pockets with money and power.

Pl ask Prez Rajapakse to prove this:

”…… it will be useful to seek lessons from periods when Sri Lankan political
leaders, like President Mahinda Rajapaksa, had such overwhelming political
support that they were in a position, if they chose, to expend political
capital by taking concrete steps toward communal reconciliation. …” –

I would like to know if Rajiv Gandhi ir the Indian side read the 13A before Rajiv signed it.
Why can’t Sri Lanka make 13A simpler? What’s the cost of running PCs in the South where they are not really needed as the central government with some attitudinal changes can function properly? Of course there is no need for PCs in North and East if Sinhala politicians and masses put their Buddhism into their hearts instead of putting it into more and more concrete structures damaging the environment.

The minimum the President should do is to stop lying before the public is asked to give him a chance::

He is prepared to pay PR firms but refuses to help the war-ravaged:

As a result, clashes between them are reported to be minimal. However, Education Minister of the Eastern Provincial Council Wimalaweera Dissanayake complained that their Governor has become a stumbling block to the smooth functioning of the Provincial Ministries including his. He charged that the Governor did not allow him to recruit teachers or even transfer a teacher despite his being the Minister of Education. If he had no power even to affect the transfer of a sanitary labourer, what is the purpose of his being a Minister, he asked. A former military officer, the Governor is trying to run the Provincial Council too in the military style, the Provincial Minister alleged.
Chief Secretary Western Provincial Council Lalith Kannangara, Opposition Leader Kithsiri Kahatapitiya and PC member Mahesh Almeida said that their Governor Alavi Mowlana, despite being a politician himself does not interfere in the administrative affairs of the Council. PC members and officials from the UVA PC also said that their Governor Nanda Mathew too was non-interfering. ….” – Are Provincial Councils a White Elephant? by Sunil Kusumsiri, Nation.lk, Colombo, February 20, 2011

1.”The Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) has appreciably and rightly boasted its commitment for reconciliation by conducting the election and establishing the NPC. These conflicts negatively hide such rich achievement”

Mr Austin, many SriLankans believe that the NPC election was held to stave off possible boycott of CHOGMSRiLanka2013 by members of the Commonwealth. Does he not look at the context of what has been going on in the previous months – repeal 13A, Dilute 13A enact 19A…..

2.”Concurrently and most importantly let me remind two positive quotes to the NPC stakeholders made by President Rajapaksa on the 66th Independence Day”

He has made NINE Independence Day declarations which are very similar. What has he DONE in between, Mr Austin? More and more oppression by the occupation army and navy. Instead of asking the President STOP LYING and to DO something that will make the oppressed people trust him, the author is asking the public and political administrations in the NPC act to prove President Mahinda Rajapaksa is absolutely right and truthful to the core.

This 18A President will go on lying through his teeth and pay GeneRandalls thorugh his nose and cadjole AustinFernandos for some more years when the socio-economic-environmental fabric of the Tamils would have been destroyed so much, and the political and economic power of the Sinhalese colonies would be large enough, so as to make an article like this unnecessary.

A rich set of experiences!
