Why is anyone surprised at the Colossal failure of this programme?.
1) A part of the “lungs” of Colombo was stolen for this Nelun Pokuna.
This was a beautiful open air ground in the heart of Colombo.

2) This was a total Political exercise, all to enhance the Political image of the Rajapakse’s to cover up the Economic and Social failures.

3) The Politicians of this Country do not have the gift and talent to blend with real culture and music.
The high brow musicians and talented artistes of this Country are a few, but are tied only to their vocations.
There are faded and fading artistes waiting for exposure and financial support for their survival lending their names to these Politicians.

The depth of our Politics have stooped so low where the Politicians are seen mixing with amateurs and Professionals in all fields to impress our ignorant Public that without them nothing is Possible

Politicians should stick to politics. The tailor should do the tailors job, baker should do the bakers job, candlestick maker the candlestick makers job. Politicians dont do their jobs, instead they mess up the whole country.

They are jack of all trades master of none, square pegs in round holes. All sorts of thugs and racketeers are indulging in politics today. They have no clue how to run this country.
