In reply to Iqbal. What would you like to see happen at the March HRC session if GoSL ignores this resolution? Do you think there's a very good chance of another resolution on GoSL passing at that session?

If the UN fails to reprimand Sri Lanka along with dire consequences the fate that will befall the minorities will be disastrous.
The UN may fail because of China And Russia, in that event the EU and the US should consider it their responsibility to redeem the minorities.
Britain and India have a pecuinary responsibility to ensure that the minorities are safe and sound. they are responsible for this mess.
let the world remember that sri lanka will never be guided by ethics and fair play. any government coming to power will be by and from the majority.
the sinhala buddhists being the majority it will be their will that will prevail.
it will take centuries to enlighten this majority.
they feel thrilled that they can trample some one, may be not for gain just the thought they are on top of another language or religion gives them immense satisfaction.
nationally this country is blood thirsty, paradoxically they pretend to be virtuous, wearing white to show their cleanliness and purity.
hidden behind this white and saffron attire there lies sleeping a vulture eyes closed, but scheming as to how to devour anything that shows a sign of life.

Unless there is consequence in the next UN HRC Session for Sri Lanka for not acting on previous resolution the victims of oppression will continue to suffer and the disappearances will continue. Mosques, Hindu temples and churches are demolished and new Buddhist viharas are erected mainly in Tamil speaking Hindu and Muslim areas to destroy the culture before annihilating the ethnic minorities one after other.

What happens at HRC is mainly driven by Geopolitics and not by UN Charter. It is a crime that even more than half a century after the manuscript of ”Emergency ’58” was smuggled out of Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan Foreign Minister could take a secret Action Plan to the US government:
i. Damage control to hoodwink the international community has been working very well for decades that human rights violations against the ethnic minorities could go on for so long

ii. The necessity to take a secret Action Plan is to hide from its ethnic majority what it does outside the country to keep up its appearances and to hide from the international community what it does inside the country to its ethnic minorities”
