He argues that one Bharathy was taken to the Court and punished for his crimes in 2009. The only Bharathy I know is Iniya Bharathy, and actually he was awarded with a top national award!! Can someone shed more light on this Bharathy guy, the only one to have had the punishment from the government side for his mischiefs.

He hasnt done himself or Sri Lanka any favours here.

A reinterpretation of Kipling’s famous four-liner may also shed some light into his behaviour.

“Fear, or foolishness, impels him, ere he lay the wicked low,
To concede some form of trial even to his fiercest foe.
Mirth obscene diverts his anger — Doubt and Pity oft perplex
Him in dealing with an issue — to the scandal of The Sex!”

All what he does is to say I tried this and I did this but the other did not do it. That is Prof. Rajiva’s pathetic plight.

I am not questioning the merits or otherwise of the point he made to the AG but it should strike me as odd that the AG should be taking instructions from Mr Wijesinghe who is after all a member of parliament although me may be a side kick of the President. The office of the AG was held by men of fierce independence such as Mr Basnayake. Unfortunately our politicians devalued that office by making appointing people who they could trust. The blame should also go to those who occupied that office.

Rajiva has taken upon himself the role of apologist to the regime, a role he once played in tandem with one Mr Dayan Jayatileke. His performance shows that being clever by half does not pay.
