Now there is egg throwing, assaults etc. on students. Latest is that noone should wear undergarments ! All this is unjustified repression of fellow students.
Those who try to enforce these have sick minds, & do not belong in a university.
What the government is doing is correct. All those engaged in unlawful activites must be punished according to the law.
But a vice chancellor was accused of trying to subject femal students to “virginity tests” ! If this is true, he does not deserve to be a vice chancellor.
All these students do not realise that in all other countries, students have to pay for education from primary school upto the university, unlike in sri lanka.
Discipline must be rigidly enforced.
It is only a minority who behave like this. They should be disciplined, or, if they resist, should be expelled.

Those ruddy and violent politically motivated gang of criminal university students must be arrested and prosecuted and at the end suspend for university education for life time as there are another 100,000s are waiting to get this rare oppretunity in Sri Lanka. These politically motivated few 100s of so called universuty students destroying the whole university education system and the progress of prost war of the country.

This is a correct time to establish private universities in Sri Lanka. Government is not capable at all to provide required monetary support to public universities, so it should take the assistance of private sector investors similar to other sectors like medical, primary and secondary education such as International schools and private schools, private buses. So, it is nothing wrong with establishing private universities as long as it maintain high quality standard.
