Actually Nobee is right – We belong to you. We are owned by you. The few Uncle Toms left in Colombo gives you power and thats fine. Your Political parties will always reign in Parliment and we will always be “opposition”. Haven’t you heard the saying…It doesn’t matter what the house cat looks like the mice will be eaten. So, don’t you think there should be a place for the mice to live in peasce like up in the attic(north….LOL) so the house cat can rule downstairs. Thats all what we are asking. When the mice gets agitated every 20 years and wants to turn around and kick some butt – Why can’t you take it? You only get it once every twenty years. We get it every year. Remember you keep this up and there will be no more mice to play with. You would have finally eradicated the problem. If thats what you want – It will be done.

]]>Take note; Sri Lanka belongs Sri Lankans that include Sinhala, Tamils, Buslims, Burgers etc, etc. Your logic will not wash; bigotry is a form of disease and you need to seek help!
]]>However, I feel that, if there is no progress in terms of a political arrangement between GOSL and TNA, the focus will be on TNGA; TNA will have no option but becoming the proxy of TNGA and the history will repeat itself.
In the recent interview with Al Jazeera MR said that he is sure to win more elections; he knows the core Sinhala Buddhist vote base; he will not jeopardize that solid base; it looks as if there will be no meaningful political arrangement after all!
]]>I agree fully with you that there will only be a way forward if our stories begin to change. It is precisely the grand narratives (and they are usually constructed by men), such as the Mahawamsa on the Sinhala side, and its mirror image on the LTTE side, that have plagued our history. We need to work together to make sure that our multiple, small narratives, which are inclusive ands respecting the dignity of all the people in this island replace these outdated grand narratives, which can only bring more violence and bloodshed.
