My mother would allude to the numerous dilly-dallance of her relatives and how her father’s wealth was re-distributed among the servants. I remember thinking to myself why not.

After all the nuns at the HFC instilled into us that all human beings are born equal.
And come to think of it the servants were better looking than the wives of the masters of the household. The wives were bone-idle and could hardly be called upon to satisfy the vicarious pleasures of the master since they were hung up on pleasing their relatives much to the chagrin of a husband needing comfort.

They also were obese and hardly a pretty sight.

“habitually copulated with their servants” -I like that one. But of course it depended on who the servant was!!! There are servants and servants and therefore I do not think they copulated with each and everyone.

Despite his proclamation of liberty and freedom of speech he did not have the courage to honour this lady who stood by him through thick and thin.

This hippocracy is not alien to the Tamil Vellalas and the Sinhala walauwe karayas who habitually copulated with their servants who through slaving away in the household pounding rice and chopping firewood had better physique than the bone-idle legitimate wives and sired children and seceded lands for them but never gave them legal entitlement to surnames.
