I wonder if he managed to keep his promise and do it in 24 hours. I get the feeling that it took him much longer than 24 hours.

Doesn’t statements like this shock anyone? Enacting law hurriedly in a vengeful manner? 24 hours? [Edited out] Warrants/Indictments/Prosecutions all in 24 hours. Kata boru kiwwath diva boru kiyane nalu. General is already showing the type of law enforcement he has in mind for the future. Replace the police with Special Forces I guess. Corrupt as the police maybe I’d rather have them in charge of law enforcement than “24 hour service” special forces. Lets just keep them for war only!

Sad state is that the supposedly independent paper (Leader’s) editor Janz has admitted openly how they have made a conscious decision to be biased towards a political party.

“After the presidential election was formally declared…” (BS! right from the start) “….The Sunday Leader’s management made a decision that the paper would at an editorial level broadly throw its weight behind Sarath Fonseka’s campaign.”
http://www.thesundayleader.lk/2010/01/03/her-story…/

So I guess we know now 1st hand that the agenda behind the paper and their editorial ancestry is not the most “fearless & independent”! Point is we can now take everything the Leader has published to date with a grain of salt.

“Chairman, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Hudson Samarasinginhe’s media conduct is a case in point. Each morning he unleashes his venom on the common opposition candidate Gen. Sarath Fonseka through his programme that is a travesty of free expression and one that defies ‘good journalistic practices’ by any standard. Samarasinghe is a SLFP organizer for Colombo.”

Scary as it may feel to some, that “venom” he and his co hosts say makes sense to me personally! Point is it is not “such a travesty”. Have you failed to see that the show has a comedic attribute to it? That’s the genius. It’s his style.
It’s a bloody talk show! He’s not “reporting” or “breaking news to the country” to have ‘good journalistic practices’. Just a shock jock in my view.
End of the day I get the message with a bit of a chuckle. Makes my morning drive enjoyable.

Above remarks are from Sarath Fonseka, as per the “Daily Mirror.” What I find interesting is the 24 hour window. If it only takes 24 hrs to round up all the culprits, then it is plausible to assume that, within certain circles, the identities of the killers are common knowledge.
