It is profoundly anti-democratic and has repeatedly shown that the EU Elites decide what is good for the peoples of the EU.

When Ireland held a referendum to decide on the viability of the Lisbon Treaty and failed to give the correct result, the EU ignored the ‘No’ result and made Ireland vote again until the desired ‘Yes’ result was obtained.

Yes, SL has to deal with the EU, but please ignore all claims from the EU that it is some sort of guiding light of freedom, democracy, lodestar of human rights etc.

Thanks. I attended QRC Trinidad from 1984-1985 as my father was working for the Trinidad Government at that time. I have many friends from my QRC days and I still keep in touch with them on facebook. Trinidad was a wonderful country and I have pleasant memories of the year I spent there as a student.

I have been attempting to get information on the Lisbon Treaty post October 29, 2009, since President Klaus had stated that he was going to move for changes to the Treaty. Yours seem to be the first on this topic. Sharon Phipps,Trinidad and Tobago
