S. Chandrahasan, son of S. J. V. Chelvanayakam, said that the Tamil Tigers have killed more Tamils than all others put together. V. Anandasangaree, the TULF President, who confirmed Chandrahasan’s verdict on the Tamil Tigers, added that he had the right to go to Jaffna and protest when Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike opened the Jaffna University but he can’t step into Jaffna now under Prabhakaran’s regime. Statistics confirm that the majority of Tamils prefer to live with the Sinhalese than under the Pol Potist regime of Prabhakaran. Yet the ideologically fixated propagandists/apologists on both sides of the divide blame the Sinhalese. The liquidation of Tamils by the Tamils, starting from Chelvanayakam who led the innocent Tamil youth like Pied Piper to the music of elusive Eelam, are glorified while the blame for that too, ironically, is heaped on the Sinhalese. The collective violence, discrimination (even Karuna broke away from the Tamil Tigers accusing the northern leadership of discriminating against the Eastern Tamils) and oppression of the Tamils by the Tamils, denying them their basic human rights, stands as an unparalleled criminal record in Sri Lankan history. Dr. Noel Nadesan, the Editor of Uthayam, the Australian community paper for Tamils summed it when he stated: “Tigers are the enemy of Tamils, not the Sinhalese,”

If we don’t wish to see more murders, we should have investigations into the murders that have been soaring and soaring…. Instead, the Commission of Inquiry was not allowed to carry out its work by the Attorney General’s office and the President’s office and the IIGEP had to leave the country saying that there is no political will to solve the problem.
Disappearances and murders in High Security Zones near army check points are going on non-stop …..
If Minister Chandrasekaran welcomes Tamil Nadu protests against military assaults, the President appoints a disciplinary committee. When Minister Mervyn attacks journalists and disrupts peace rallies and Champika and Sarath spew racism, it’s all quiet on the government side.
There is no change in the majoritarianism on the horizon…..
It’s all annihilation of Tamils as far as the eyes can see …..
Now just to make sure the vicious plan stays on course, Sinhala lawyers are threatened by death squads not to speak up their conscience.

Just because some Tamils were murdered, others can’t have justice? This logic has been leading us so far and will continue for some more time till almost all Tamils are bombed/shelled/abducted/arrested/tortured/murdered.

Obama mania – in colombo, people were so interested in US polictics than they are of even SL politics. One channel had daily updated. people forgot to read about the sunshine budget or the 2009 one, lol so taken up with the craze.

remember – this is a brown president (Half white).
prefer to wait and see his policies than give him praise. let see how he performes after all the drama.

in another aspect – after 9/11 not one sucessful attack within US of A,. GWB should be proud of that.!!!!!!!

Given that free reporting is censored, how many of the reports after fact-finding missions to Mannar, Jaffna, Vavuniya, Trincomalee, Batticaloaby… by civil societies are translated into Sinhala and distributed widely? Young Sinhalese making informed choices only will solve our problem humanely.
