Under Dog’s observations are still of great relevance.

Let us look back at the past twelve months to evaluate all that has taken place. It seems to me the Weli incident has been buried in the sand….. The authorities are worse than an ostrich who buries its head in the sand…….

Under Dog wrote this:

“So talk about him, talk about the cases that he fights, and the cases that need fighting; talk to your family, your friends, your co-workers-make them care. We need to stand shoulder to shoulder with people like ‘Weli’ and send a clear message that if they mess with one of us, they mess with all of us.”

Let us do that? Even although it is one year late. Let us also apply that to others who need it. “Who?”, you ask? Many right people will say Tissainayagam. And I will agree. But I shall also add these examples of less known people: the Tamil printer and his wife who are still in the jail and charged with helping the other journalist. There are many people like that who, doing the righteous things. Yes so it is true that we must stand by people like Weli and Tissanayagam and those printers and so many similar ones.
