It is very pity to realise that we have not learned from our past and continue towards our own destruction. We continue to stand divided and speak on behalf of our communities and our own selfish motives. We will only see our country moving in a right direction when we understand that every human who live in Sri Lanka is a Sri Lankan. We need to feel the pain of our fellow Sri Lankan despite of our ethnicity and religion. My dear fellow Sri Lankans I urge you that we create a new society that will respect and response to the need of every other Sri Lankan despite our differences. We as Sinhalese need to fight for the right of a Tamils who is been abducted in Colombo, we as Tamils need to fight for rights of the Sinhalese farmers who live in south killed by LTTE. We as Sinhalese and Tamils need to fight for the rights of the Muslims who live in the East who are suffering. Let’s stop blaming systems and our leaders, and let’s begin to change ourselves first. So that we can dream a better tomorrow.

Word around Colombo is that one of them space ships like the one in Independence Day came hovering over Colombo and beamed all the Tamils then torchered them. Now they’re all gone 8-! Sad but true story. Please I beg you to come and visit Colombo!! Instead of spamming web logs from Canada.

He/She repeatedly says the same thing. It is a well known fact that the Tamils are being abducted, killed, tortured, and “dissapeard” In Colombo and other areas. They are expected to have a reason to come to Colombo or other sinhalese dominated areas. Somebody has to write in Sinhala!!

Pirapaharan, aided by Rajapakse brothers, rooted by the Sinhala south, is charting Sri Lanka’s march inexorable march towards this yet undecided destiny.

LTTE is keeping the population there by force, something Human rights Watch and Amnesty International have documented.

The government however does not want the Tamils to come to Colombo – witness the latest census and other measures such as the permit to enter the Western province (there are also permits necessary to leave either the North or the East, as anyone who has visited Trinco can testify.

The attitude that 99% of terrorists are Tamils therefore all Tamils are under suspicion is hardly welcoming and translates to repeated instances of detention and harassment such as repeated searches in the middle of the night etc. The press reports these in passing and no one pays much attention to these since we are unaffected but putting oneself in the shoes of the other man makes one realise just how horrible this can be.

There are also numerous reports of abductions all of which leaves the Tamil population fearful and resentful.
