It is unfortunate to see how many blog comments and forum posts that instead of focusing on what someone said the discussion turns into an off topic conversation about nothing….

Your rant was so derailed and irrelevant to the topic of the article, that it just shows you’re here to serve the LTTE agenda.

Why don’t you want to address the real genocide happening by the LTTE. Recruiting children and inexperienced civilians to fight a hopeless war? All for what? Nothing! War is just a business for Prabakaran now. He is used to the funding that he gets from the diaspora and he needs to show something to have a regular pay check. So he is sacrificing his own people.

SL gov is not sending food for money. No money is coming back to the gov from the LTTE areas. All that money goes towards LTTE because they hijack all that food (donated food) and resell at outrageous prices back to poor tamil people. I urge you to go to LTTE areas and see for your self. LTTE is creating hell for the civilian population. Better hurry now before the govt delivers justice to those LTTE low life.

Mahinda Rajapakse, while addressing the UN General Assembly this week, came out with the main factor contributing to the genocide of Tamils in the North East(NE) of Sri Lanka(SL), without being aware that he was doing so.

With a view to address the world discontent, especially by the Co- chairs, over the existing humanitarian crisis at Kilinochchi, Mahinda was trying to impress that he was heading a good Samaritan Government in Sri Lanka.

Desperate people do desperate things. With his skewed logic he came out clearly as to how Colombo is the “capital” of genocide of Tamils.

MR said that his Samaritan government gives food to Tamils in the NE, pays to teachers and pensioners, buys paddy from farmers and the like. For obvious reasons he refrained from telling the world as to how he abuses the human rights of Tamils.

The fact of the matter is the government in Colombo pays to teachers and pensioners under a contractual obligation for their services. Not as charity. Pensioners have to be paid by GOSL, even if Tamil Eelam became independent. It is an individual contractual obligation.

Most of the Tamil civilians in the NE buy their food and other consumer items from the money received from their kith and kin living abroad. The Tamil diaspora.

Food and other items are imported into Colombo. The duty levied is ultimately recouped during sale by consumers as a part of their price in the NE. Not only the revenue from such duties levied, the tax on profits added to price by traders in Colombo and the NE goes into the government ticky box. The economy benefits from it; a reason why the South is against the granting of legitimate right of the people of NE to rule themselves. Sadly, the levies are used to feed the soldiers to go to NE and kill the same tax payers.

Paddy is grown by farmers in the NE, mostly with money received from Tamil diaspora individuals. In fact the economy of the entire NE is run by Tamil diaspora on individual basis.

MR was trying to gloss over Tamil genocide and looked ridiculous. He was venturing to show that he was doing a favour to Tamils, though the state is duty bound to do so. Slaves receive favours from masters. “Slaves have no rights” attitude is evident from the speech.

The minds of Sinhalese are contaminated with such skewed logic causing genocide of Tamils in the NE.

People who are displaced, disappeared, arbitrarily arrested, tortured and kept under the cruel emergency laws of the state are not at all receiving dignity from people doing such acts.

Human dignity of Tamils is denied by the Sri Lankan state causing genocide. MR failed to tell the UN that he would restore the dignity of Tamils in the NE by granting them their legitimate right to rule themselves. MR was just bluffing all the way through.

The myths of the Sinhalese are taught as true history. Politics is taught as a part of religion. Anti Tamil culture is imposed through legitimate books.
