Photographs are mightier than the pen. To own or shoot a Gun you need licence, therefore to own and use a pen or own a camera and shoot a photograph, you need a licence. It follows therefore to publish writings and photographs you need a licence. Just imagine the money that can be raised by all this licences to offset the loss of aid for Sri lanka, and loss of revenue from the tourist industry. Freedom of press and human rights are international actors design to divide the country. Mmmm. I sound like Bogallagamas, Rambukwallahs and Jayatillekas. But then they are honourable men with their own logical frame.

question is were the ppl who apprehended/arrested etc the so called “journalists” bc of suspicious activity breaking the law any more than “journalists”? or are they exercising their legitimate rights?
you avoid that question
imo as long as the situation is resolved according to law there is no need for hysterical exaggerations

when you put “security threat ” into quotation marks you imply there is not security threat . really ?

do calm down and get rid of blinkered one issue mentality . world and reality is not that simple.

With the technology to not only photograph with a cell phone….but to video. It will be very hard to stop the visial images.
Truth moves at the speed of technology.
