i dont understand this satement? are you saying that majority based democracies arent all that great? isn’t the world made up of more of this kind of governments. what is the proposal that any one has ever forwarded.

ALL PEOPLE HEAR IS THAT THE CURRENT STATUS IS NOT CORRECT, but not a single person or organisation has come forward saying that we should move to this ? or at least the foundation of new way to share power?

waht does the CPA offer as suggestions?

Personally i feel that the majority is fed up of of so called peace talks (About 3 talks i think), mediations , foreign and other interventions, which have made this issue become more like a beggers wound. so hence majority have decided like you say that once chance of the dice in war might be a good ploy now after so many failed peace talks.

I have been reading your articles since 1994, and analyse the CPA surveys from the first. Even with much mounting criticism I admire your commitment and courage for advocating for human rights, rule of law, resolution by negotiation, reconciliation and peace. You may remember I tried my best, through many VIP intermidiaries to discourage the “Jeya Sikuru” offensive in 1997 as it would cause much death and no victories. The current offensive will do the same at a larger scale and with no success. You and the CPA survey have demonstrated that the majority of the majority supports the war. Sri Lanka is a feudal system with a fragile and transparent veil of democracy to hide the primitive system. Democracy, sovereignty and territorial integrity are the multi-barrels that the majority of the majority community is using to subjugate the rights of the “Other” community. There is no evidence sanity will return to Sri Lanka on its 60th anniversary of its majoritarian rule.
