For whom is this war fought? And for what? I don’t think constitutional thinking like this will help matters – politicians have all the keys to open the locks of their own making. Voting them into power, the blood on their hands is on ours too.

Rent seekers are those who benefit materially without making any contribution to production in the widest sense including all types of servies. Peace can be looked upon as a public good andthose who work to promote it are promoting a public good.
But there are war mongers who are earning unearned benefits since they can use their support for war to win the favor of the government, the dinspenser of poltical patronage. All those in the government owned media belong to this category – winning favors by promoting war which is not a public good but a public evil.
