Just look at the ‘Helping Hambantota’ thing – he just ordered the investigation to stop. Period! Why hasn’t Mahinda or his brothers bothered to deny the allegations of Mangala and Sripathi? The latter was incarcerated for allegedly misusing a state vehicle and they are trying to hang the same allegation on Mangala, when there are so many far more serious allegations against the UNP crossover guys that are totally ignored. It does appear that the Bros. Inc. don’t give a shit for anybody’s view or allegations – and this includes the IC. So where do we go from here?

If so, how? Surely there should be a money trail. Do you really think the LTTE could be bribed like that? They prevented the voters from voting because a UPFA victory would have been better for them re the peace talks. Ranil getting a vote of confidence from the Tamils could upset their long term goals as well. They probably didn’t count on Mahinda launching such a determined and successful military campaign.

Following the receipt of this information the government announced a drastic reduction in the number of polling stations in the North and the few stations that were there were moved far out.

On election day the LTTE mounted roadblocks to prevent anybody from getting to a polling station.

The statements by Mangala/Sripathi seem to confirm the story. Not 100% hard evidence of a pact but enough suspicion to warrant further investigation.

On the subject of the abductions, the government’s apathy and inaction is in starnge contrast to the vigour with which it persues its military campaign. One would expect a great deal of alarm and a firm campaign to bring the culprits to book if the perpetrators were suspected of being the LTTE.

The only government investigation that went anywhere pointed to the involvement of Karuna, who is now allied with the government.

Add to this the fact that despite a high security situation, the abductors are able to operate with impunity and without detection, then things start looking pretty suspicious. It happened before in 1987/89 no reason why it cannot happen again.

Was it some equipment that was being serviced for 3 days? Or perhaps the ground support system for the jets that SL has? If it was the ground support system, then how come they never had a replacement in rathmalana? Bad preperation or lack of funds. And why was mangalas bank accounts with 50 million or billion frozen? Although strange he left the country on the day of the air attack.. so many things so many things.. wonder whats next..
