Attacks like this are actually good for piece in a way. On one hand, that lets the Sinhalese in the South realize what the Tamils go through every day. Secondly, it ruins the Southern economy and instills fear in the warmongers in the South both of which will help pressure the government in Colombo to compromise.

Seeing this, hopefully, should also highlight how everyone is falling into this and represented politically by the govt, LTTE, Karuna group, JVP, JHU, UNP etc

It maybe that political parties have very little leeway but to make the obvious reactive choice available to them.
