Can you post reliable data about the actual numbers of Tamil tourists to the North?

Also, from an economic point of view, how profitable is tourism? For example, the last time I went to Anuradhapura, some small chap came up to me and asked money for schoolbooks. This was in 06', when tourism was steadily gaining. I have a gutsy feeling, though, that if I went in 16' (2016), the chaps son would be asking yet the same thing. I don't believe that tourism is necessarily sustainable in the long-term. I can't *prove* that however, without some hard economic data. Notice that I said not *necessarily*; there seem to be places like Monte Carlo that get away with it; on the other their clientele is extremely limited and extremely wealthy (what does that say about expected profit margins?).
