MPs will have no reason to travel outside at all” A member of parliament is supposed to represent the people! Not be inaccessible! Come on people, have we all (government and public included) forgotten that these people are supposed to serve the people! Not the other way around! Strangely, there are still a few decent government MPs who have not succumbed to corruption.. Wish we could have more of them. A member of parliament is supposed to represent the people! Not be inaccessible! Come on people, have we all (government and public included) forgotten that these people are supposed to serve the people! Not the other way around!

Strangely, there are still a few decent government MPs who have not succumbed to corruption.. Wish we could have more of them.

The women of the MPs should be separated from the MPs and comfort women should be provided to the MPs for their heroic struggle against the LTTE. But what you overlook here is that for the past 3+ years, there have been virtual Government Comfort Centres (GCCs) where always-consenting, non-dissenting and blindly loyal MPs were extremely well looked after, with every whim and fancy pandered to. In this scenario, I doubt if there is any real risk of any of the MPs supporting the government (is it 109? 112? 115? or more?) crossing over to the other side. Besides, cross over and go where? Into that bottomless abyss call the Barely United Party? Or the rapidly shrinking people's liberators who cannot even salvage themselves? Or the fast disintegrating and soon disappearing other minority parties? This is interesting.
