However, it is almost impossible to believe that those who drafted these proposals of the SLFP or the SLFP as a party are unaware of the gravity of the North and East political conflict. May be they are going on a different path [despite the expressed fears of the devotees of federalism] without totally contradicting the popular and the most encouraged scheme for a political solution. With its two main coalition parties [JVP, JHU] believing in a military settlement defeating the terrorists and with a leadership which shows a seemingly preference to a negotiated settlement, the SLFP also must be revealing its priorities,hidden intentions through these proposals unless they seriously mean to travel back in time to show their stupidity and be out standing!!!!!!!! Is there something camouflaged? Could you please confirm that you analogy says that the employees had a salary of Rs 10,000. And the current offer was Rs 5,000 less than the previous offer of Rs 7,500? I think there must be a typo here? As for the rest again being a simpleton I could not understand most of it either, but did not see a mention that the merger was not a popular suggestion with other minorities such as the Muslims and not that popular with the right wing either.
